Her small stature makes it easier for her to be nimble and often times she isn't noticed. Along with her petite body, she is flat as a board with a simple A cup sized chest and she hardly has anything in the hip department as well. This leaves her with a very androgynous appearance but she isn't bothered by this fact either. She doesn't do anything to put herself out there as a female and thus she is hardly noticed as one. Her body looks as though it has little to no muscle mass but that's just her small body coming into play once again. She has countless scars that liter her body from both training and out in the field combat. Most go unseen as most are light enough that they are hard to make out unless pointed out but she has her own fair share of them that can be seen. Her skin is pale in color although it isn't completely translucent as she doesn't stay out in the sun long enough to get tanned skin. Her hair is typically what gets most people's attention as it is a green in color lost somewhere in between being a bright and medium green. It can appear lighter or darker depending on the lighting that she may find herself in. Her hair falls to about her mid back when she is not wearing it up or hiding it. Her bangs fall around her face with two longer pieces falling to each side of her face down to just past her chest while the rest of it rests falls onto her face sometimes covering her right eye and other times just being swept to the right. Her eyes are a bright color of red and appear to flicker when she is mad about something much like fire. Most of the time she seems to look as if she's bored but they are usually sharp and alert. Her eyes are her most effeminate feature as her lashes are so long despite the fact that boys can also have long lashes.

Other than in battle or even while training in the 2nd division compound, she can hardly ever be seen without her captain's haori. It is sleeveless with a clean cut and the inside is the same orange color that represents her squad with the symbol for her squad on the back of it. Her zanpaktou can be found on her left side since her right hand is her dominate hand and it makes it easier for her to draw her blade in a battle.
If she ever had to complete a mission in the the living realm, which would be a rarity, she tends to wear whatever helps her blend in among the humans. Her clothing would be pretty boyish in nature hiding her true gender with it her age as well and she hides her hair within the hoody she may find herself wearing.

She didn't know if she had the spiritual energy that would also help her get into the academy but this didn't stop her one bit. She continued on studying until she felt that she was ready to try to get into the academy.
Kyou didn't find it all that difficult to get accepted into the academy, however, it was mainly thanks to the spiritual energy that she possessed. The one thing that she did find difficult was to make friends but that was nothing new when she had always had that problem. If someone treated her like those children in the Rukongai did, she would just shrug it off and just assume it was jealousy that lead them to act that way. It wasn't that she was over confident in her skills but in such an academy it was easy to see most people were this way. Jealous of the power and skill that others had over them even if they weren't that much better.
While in the academy, she found herself excelling in two fields hand to hand combat and stealth. These were the two things that came easily to her and she usually could be found training her hand to hand in her spare time. She was exceptionally good at these two things but nowhere near genius level. This didn't seem to bother her as she didn't mind having to finish the academy in the usual amount of time. It gave her more time to learn all that she could possibly be taught there. Six years after being accepted, she finally graduated and found herself being made an official Shinigami.
Her ability never went unnoticed even if she didn't think it was all that good but it caught the attention of Central 46. As a result of her abilities, she was recruited into the 2nd division without a second thought. It was while she was there that she started to excel in her own element of hand to hand. She still remained awkward when it came to getting along with her fellow members and as such she found comfort in training. It was here that she would put forth more effort to learn more about the people around her and to get along with them better.
It was here in the 2nd division where she found herself finally able to start getting along with people. There were still people who thought they were better than others but she still found people among them that were easy to get along with. Her mask easily crumbling before them all and let her inner personality break out a bit. She still kept the mask for times when she wasn't among friends but that was different. It was the same feeling she had when she was still in the Rukongai and it was something she would have to work on.
As she trained her combat skills, she eventually found herself getting recognized for it and climb up the seated positions. It most definitely wasn't all in one go but it was a steady climb. The stronger that she got the higher that she climbed but she was still hitting a wall. There was something missing and she knew that it was her shikai. She furthered her training as she tried to accomplish her shikai and after a few years of intense training she found herself accomplishing just that. It was upon this accomplishment that she was promoted to being the 3rd seat of her squad.
It would take another several years of hard work and perseverance before she could achieve her bankai. With yet another great achievement, she was promoted to the vice captain of the squad and it was as that she stayed. Simply reaching as far as she could climb and achieving her bankai didn't mean she would just stop there. She kept her training up as she didn't want to become soft but she also had the duties as a vice captain to complete. She never had a time where she was bored as she always had something to do.
Several years later, there was a great disruption to the 2nd division when the captain of their squad disappeared. Their captain hadn't been the only one to disappear, however, as several other squad's captains became MIA or resigned from their positions until they only had about five captains. It was a complete mystery as to where some of these captains had went off to but until they could find them she was put in charge of the 2nd division. It didn't feel right to her but she listened to what was said to her.
Soon they were given an answer to where their captain could have possibly disappeared to in one person. They still weren't entirely sure if it was him as it was merely speculation but upon hearing the things that he had done; there was almost no doubting it. As the last of the captains gathered to fight a war against this one man, she stayed behind being still that of a vice captain to keep an eye on her division. This wasn't a fight she would have been ready for yet anyway or at least she felt this way.
It was after this war ended and the defection of one captain that she was promoted that one last step to division captain. She was the strongest within the squad at the current time having achieved her shikai and bankai. This wasn't their only reason for promoting her, however, as she cared a great deal about her squad and had plenty of experience by this point to become a great captain if she really wanted to. Name: Gouka 業火 (hellfire)
Description:-Sealed: The sheath of her zanpaktou is plain in appearance although is the color black and the blade is about 65 centimeters long. The hand guard is a circle with a fire like pattern is etched into it and the wrappings are black and orange.
-Shikai: “Yakeochiro" 焼け落ちろ (burn it down)” - Her zanpakuto in shikai form is mostly similar to what it looks like in its sealed form. The blade itself stays the same in length but starts to glow a deep red in color. This represents the temperature of the blade when touched by someone other than Kyou; it is hot, very hot. The hilt is similar to what it looked like in sealed form but the wrappings are gold and white instead.
-Bankai: Enten Gouka 炎天業火 (blazing hellfire) - Upon uttering the word bankai and its name, her zanpakuto catches on fire. Just bursts into flame. It isn't a normal fire that can easily be put out with water. It takes a person of the same level or higher than her to be able to put her flames out easily. The hilt is almost the same as it is in its other two forms. The hand guard having the same design carved into it but the wrappings are black with red and orange mixed together like that of fire. If her bankai were to be put out then it would appear first as completely black with dark gray like ash left after a fire and then revert back to its sealed form.
Spirit Description: Gouka's spirit form is that of a young lady with a set of white ears and a tail. She has fluffy, short hair and red eyes that blaze like a fire. Her skin is pale while having various red flame like tattoos upon her body and she is clad in white with red and gold accenting it. Her arms and thighs are covered up with white bandages and her shoulders are covered by a white cloak that is singed at the bottom. Around her neck, a necklace can be found that has a orange crystal hanging off of it that glows just like a fire. She has a personality that is similar to Kyou's but she doesn't make an effort to at all show any emotion. Even without showing any emotion it is easy to tell that she respects Kyou and is quite loyal to her. She's really insightful and wise so anytime that the captain may need help to realize the potential of her zanpaktou the spirit is quick to encourage her with advice. The only sort of emotion that she has been known to show, however, is excitement which is represented with a grin but this is only when she is called out for battle.Inner World: Kyou's inner world is that of a vast land that has seen better days as it looks as though the entire world has been burnt down. The buildings that can be found among it are all decrepit from the flames that once washed over it, however, one building is still standing and in far better shape than the others. This is where Gouka can be found but the insides have been gutted by the flames and everything that was once made of wood or any other flammable material is nothing but ashes. The fires continue to burn and smolder which can be realized upon further observation as the ground still flickers with the light of flames among the ashes.Abilities:Shikai:• Karada o Tokase 体を熔かせ,, Almost a passive when it comes to her shikai as the blade is always hot. As if it were just taken out of a fire to be forged by a blacksmith. The blade will burn anyone but do not burn Kyou and upon her cutting them. It doesn't fester up a terrible burn that could likely cause a person to lose their arm or the like. The burn itself will be at most a severe 2nd degree burn to the area surrounding the cut. She has also found herself able to melt things that she cuts. She can render plastic defenseless and almost nearly cut through metal without problems. It doesn't happen right away, however, as it takes her a little time to get through most things depending on the thickness and durability to extreme heat they may have. After much development, it can even effect a reiatsu barrier. She must be equal in Reiatsu to the caster to be able to cut through them easily. If her opponent has 30 more Reiatsu than her then she struggles to cut through the barrier and if her reiatsu is any lower than that she is unable to cut through it. She absolutely cannot cut through zanpaktous as they are made of something much more durable.
• Niku o Moyase 肉を燃やせ, When cut by Gouka, the pain will at first feel normal like any other burn. The heat from her blade will enter their injury and eventually they will feel like they are being burnt on the inside as the heat shocks their body enough to give the illusion that it burst their insides into flames. All it ends up being is just an illusion but one that makes it hard to focus and see straight. Eventually the feeling will fade away and they will be able to direct their full attention back on the fight. This ability causes the opponent's weapon skill to drop 10 points for 3 posts.Bankai:• Hashira o Kakero 柱を掛けろ, This is meant to be a type of defensive maneuver to protect Kyou as she is attacked by an opponent. She simply stabs her flame engulfed zanpakuto into the battle field and a pillar of fire shoots up where she is standing completely enveloping her in the flames. It may take on the appearance of her own zanpakto abilities working against her but they are there to protect her as they do not burn her. This means that anyone who tries the flames will not leave them unscathed as this ability is on par with 60+ Hado and causes severe burn damage. At this point in time, the fire will invade her wounds if she has any and extinguish to ash and lightly cover her wounds to lessen any bleeding she may have at the time.
• Kizu ni Nerae 傷に狙え, Kyou makes a cut on an opponent that causes a small bulls-eye to show up. This bull's eye is formed from the flames that surround her blade in its bankai form that leaves behind a small flame that turns into a red bulls-eye around the cut she just made. The bulls-eye itself does not hurt her opponent but it enables her to be able to target it or see it from wherever she may be standing on the battle field depending on the actually size of said battle field. The bulls-eye essentially makes it easier for her to attack the same spot more than once and weaken her opponent via old wounds.
• Hi no Nami 火の波, Kyou slashes her zanpakto horizontally in front of her, first in one direction and then back to where she started. This begins to form a wave of fire that crashes down upon her opponent. This ability can cause severe burn damage and burn most things in its path.
Passive Abilities: When in both her Shikai and Bankai forms, she has the ability to use the fire from her zanpaktou to stop the bleeding in her injuries. The heat or flames from her blade, depends on what form she is in, will slowly head towards her wounds and sink into them which causes the illusion of her own attacks working against her. But in reality once the fire or heat reaches the blood it will extinguish and leave behind steam and ashes. The ashes will cover the wound lightly and stop the blood from flowing.
