Kumiko's skin is a fair pigment of her Caucasian skin tone. The body structure of her is that of thin, but is toned from working in the labs with lifting and having to spar with people that are much stronger then she is, but she is stronger then what she looks. When she is working in the lab or in training/ sparring, her shoulder blade long length hair in the back would be pulled back into a ponytail. Wears glasses to read and then wears a special pair of "fake" glasses to make her look cute, sweet and harmless. Her shihakusho top portion would be the normal outfit compared to the rest of the Shinigami, the only thing that is different is that she wears a skirt that is smoothed out and reaches to the middle of her thighs. Wearing solid white Zettai Ryouiki (Knee high socks), she would also be seen wearing the typical waraji (Sandals).

Kumiko is a sweet and loving person. But she doesn't have much of a social life as she likes to keep herself busy either at the lab trying to help Azerik get it back at 100% or she is in her own section of the barracks of the higher seat order room's where she would be reading books. If asked to help with something such as security, with paper work or just to chat, she is always willing to help. Some thinks that she doesn't have a bad bone in her to have any sort of anger. To those, they would be wrong. When she is angered, her reiatsu would flare up greatly to show her Black aura, much like her Great Grandfather's, Tetsuo Shijo, Long time former 6th Division Taicho.

Kumiko was born into the Shijo Clan Noble house. The current ruling head is her Great Grandfather, Former Taicho of the Gotei 13, Tetsuo Shijo. Her being the Eldest child of Tetsuo's youngest son, she was raised around a younger sister and five younger brothers. Her house hold was that of a frantic since the boys always wanted to get themselves into trouble with Big sister Kumiko to help bail them out before punishment was laid upon them. No one in the family ever decided to join the Gotei since her Great Grandfather. Going to him, she asked him what he thought about her going to apply to become a Shinigami like he was. On his face he had a heart warming smile as he sat there with his Zanpaktou tied to his waist. He told her that when he joined the Gotei a VERY long time ago, that it was the best thing he has ever done since he married his still living wife. But before she would ask her father the dreading question, Tetsuo gave her his Blessing so that she could go to the Academy without having to ask her father permission to join. When she went to pack her things, her great Grandmother approached her in her room with a smile on her face much like Tetsuo's. She had a box in her hand. When Kumiko opened the box, she saw a doll that she had always liked that her Grandmother had sitting on a shelf. It freaked her younger siblings, but not her. She loved it. Hugging her close to her, her grandmother wished her luck with her journey to becoming a shinigami like how she was when she was younger. Nodding her head, she went and kissed the tops of each of her younger brother's and sisters heads and simply left.
Years went by in the Academy. She was one of those that was gifted with her Zanpaktou. She tried to excel to being the top marks in her classes. But not everyone got what they wanted. She was hoping to follow in Great Tetsuo's foot steps and go to 1st division. The Captain Commander at that time was Captain Nonko, of 12th division. But deep down, she wanted to become a part of 12th division Like a few other students, she showed that she could use her Shikai when they were in the training area where they had the live Hollow fights. In the corner of her eyes, she saw a pair of students backing away from three Hollows. Two Gillianes and One Adjucha. She didn't know how they had gotten in there since they were supposed to be the lesser of the Hollows. But, she rushed in as she tried to help them in combat. Buying them time to run. Now she was cornered as they approached. Heat began to emanate off her sword as it began to glow. Hearing a bird sound in her head, then a voice. She said it along with it. Black flames burst off on her blade as her Zanpaktou was now on fire. The area around her began to heat up. Swinging the blade at the one Gillian, her eyes widened as the creature's body just turned into black dust. When the other two saw this, they let out a cry as a few of the lesser Hollows joined they're ranks. Smiling to herself, she charged at them slicing her way through. When it was over and done with, she would be seen walking towards the door with her Shikai in hand. Many rumors went through the Academy at the power of her Zanpaktou.
Her one of few big day's came up. Her graduation of the academy. She stood in line with the rest of the students that had past. She was one of the first three picked out of the line up. She was lead by the current Vice captain of 1st Division to where Captain Commander was to meet him. But before they could properly give introduction's, she saw he wasn't a man of many words to begin with, especially towards her since she was new. Going to the barracks, she heard the orders to rally up and get ready. They headed for the main gates ready for war. And war was what they walked into in the Mortal realm. Arrancar, Hollows, lower ranking Espada were ready for combat as were the Shinigami and the humans. It was a blood bath as all the sides clashed at the same time. With the limiter's off, she was able to go into Shikai. Trying to help her brother's and sister's, she fought hard and fierce. Her path was crossed by an Arrancar that was one for wind based abilities. Clashing with him, they're clash tested her abilities to the max as she used everything she knew. But he called in for reinforcements. Three Gillian's with two Fraccio came towards them, but they still had a distance to go. With rage building up, her voice sounded angry as she said the last incantation. The black wall of Reiatsu shot off her as her blade transformed into it's Fiery form. With a thought of a Fire Dome, the fire formed up by shooting out of the ground and forming around. The five who were coming for the wind user's aid screamed out in pain and then silent as dust was what was left of the five who tried to pierce through the fiery wall with brute force. With a scowl on her face, the weight of her Bankai was now pressing down on this lonely Espada. Rushing at him, he five foot long fiery blade clashed with the wind user's blade. His blade began to glow slowly as it began to get brighter and brighter until it's blade broke with each end of it melting. Through it's eyes, it saw the blade coming down. It felt no pain as blade sliced right down the middle of it and turned the body into ash. The wall of fire came down as she looked around. The battles were starting to dwindle down until a odd feeling was swept through all the realms. She would find out later on that Nonko had decided to unleash a bomb in Hueco Mundo and left the Shinigami for whatever reasons.
Kumiko helped to gather the injured and gotten them to 4th Division to help get them treated. Many were injured and many had fallen during battles. Each division had suffer great loss, but one thing was noticed was that Most of the Shinigami Taicho's and Vice/ Lieutenants were missing still. Azerik jumped into the empty 10th Division Captain seat so he could find what had happened and look for Captain Nonko. Upon looking of the list, she had seen that her Vice captain for 1st division was dead. They weren't able to save him in time since his lower half was missing completely. Over the time of helping those that she could so she could keep her mind focus, or she would just simply break down when she was alone. Countless nights went by as she worked and pushed herself. At this moment of her story, she heads to Captain Azerik to see if he needs any help with his investigations.

In it's sealed state, the sword is a Black Full Tang Ninjato style sword. It's straight blade blade is 42" long with a 12" handle. The sheath has an engraving painted in with grey of a Fire bird rising from a burning forest with it's wings sprawled outwards.
-Shikai:
The sword would stay the same form, but the whole length of the blade would ignite in black flames that feels like one standing next to a forge or a blast furnace. ( 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit or 1,371 degrees Celsius) Anything that touches the blade of her sword would be cut clean through. With Metal's, each end would glow before melting.
-Bankai:
After the phrase, the sword's blade would begin to glow brightly as it would begin to grow out to 5 feet in length. But this time, the blade would be replaced with raging black fire where the blade use to be. The heat emitting off the sword and herself would be felt from afar, 30 meter Diameter around her. What ever Living person's object touches the flames melts or simply falls to dust from the sheer heat of it. Her blade now burns at 3,500 degrees Fahrenheit/ 1,648 degrees Celsius.
Spirit Description:
The spirit that resides inside her Zanpaktou is that of a Fiery black bird known as a Black Phoenix. He is the representation of her anger, usually quiet and always ready for a fight if the time arises. When she is inside the Spirit Realm with him, he would appear sitting at the edge of the burning island, sitting there listening to her talk as she would ramble on. When she asks a question, his beak doesn't move to answer her. He simply says it inside her mind or shows images through the fire. When she enters the realm angry or upset, he won't be on the island. Instead he would be in the air flying around as his black glowing fire burns hotter off his beautiful form.
Inner World:
The inner world of her Zanpaktou is of that of a Forest and a massive river. In the middle of the River is an Island that is always on fire. It's flames so hot, one would say they could feel the heat from miles away. The sky is depicted as night time with a bright full moon over head, since it's her favorite time of the day. The fire on the island would depict her if she is upset or angry by burning so bright and hot, that it would lit up the night time sky in it's wonderful burning glow.

Lifting her sword up and stabbing the air, ten huge flickers of fire would jet off from the blade and they all would take the form of a bunch of birds. Pointing at her target/ targets, they would soar right for them looking to impale into them. But if the target is to dodge the attack, each bird that they avoid would burst into a miniature explosion of fire looking to hit them still. But if they get hit; the beak of the bird would burn it's way into they're flesh and explode. The "Phoenixes" will shoot at them two birds at a time. Heat tolerance varies by Reiatsu, those with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns.

Arena of Fire:
A Sphere of Extreme hot fire will enclose around the people inside of it so that no one can leave or Enter. The Dome's fire burns the same intensity as her Zanpaktou. Anything that is thrown at it would simply turn to nothing including Kido arts, Ceros and Bala's. (BUT! If a person that is Equal to her Reiatsu and Weapon skill in her Bankai state or is higher with they're Reiatsu and Attack, then they could slice through the wall of flames so that they could squeeze in. Be warned, if anything of your's touches the flames, you are going to get burnt by the Fire. Heat tolerance varies by Reiatsu, those with Reiatsu and weapon skill 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30 less Reiatsu and attack will receive third degree burns. Anyone 50 and less then her current Bankai state stats are going to be Near-Lethal and or even Limb loss to the Moderator's digression. ) This move will end if she has it die out into embers (At the fifth post of her's the fire would begin to cool down and begin to shrink down all the way until it's embers at the seventh post.) or if she is knocked out unconscious. 50 meter sphere around her and those inside of it. As the battle progresses, the sphere would burn it's way underground and in doing so, make the ground they are fighting on unstable near the area's that Sphere has Consumed by it's fire with nothing but Embers left.
Circle of Eruption:
Stabbing the Fire of her Zanpaktou into the ground, red cracks would begin to form a circle around her (Ten foot diameter) and spread outwards to the max of the Dome or as far as she would need to. Upon yanking the blade out, a massive blast of fire would shoot outward to consume anything or anyone that wasn't standing directly beside her. This fire would be a little cooler compared to both her Shikai and Bankai raging only at 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat tolerance varies by Reiatsu, those with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30-49 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns. To those that are 50 and Less, The wounds would be near Lethal. Can be used four times in a thread.
Wall of Fire:
To buy other's time to escape from the area in which she and thy are in, she would summon a 1,000 meter tall by 800 meter wide thick wall of fire. (BUT! If a person that is Equal to her Reiatsu and weapon skill in her Bankai state or is higher with they're Reiatsu and Attack, then they could slice through the wall of flames so that they could squeeze in. Be warned, if anything of your's touches the flames, you are going to get burnt by the Fire. Those 10 points and higher will be unaffected towards they're Zanpaktou's/ Weapons. But if her blade is to touch or the fire manages to touch the skin of her Opponent, those with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30-49 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns. Anyone 50 and less then her current Shikai state stats are going to be Near-Lethal and or even Limb loss to the Moderator's digression. If a Limb is cut off, it would turn to a pile of ash leaving the other part of the wound cauterized.

But if the blade is to touch the flesh of an opponent with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30-49 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns. Anyone 50 and less then her current Bankai state stats are going to be Near-Lethal and or even Limb loss to the Moderator's digression. It's flames so hot, one would say they could feel the heat from miles away. The sky is depicted as night time with a bright full moon over head, since it's her favorite time of the day. The fire on the island would depict her if she is upset or angry by burning so bright and hot, that it would lit up the night time sky in it's wonderful burning glow.

Murder of Phoenixes:
Lifting her sword up and stabbing the air, ten huge flickers of fire would jet off from the blade and they all would take the form of a bunch of birds. Pointing at her target/ targets, they would soar right for them looking to impale into them. But if the target is to dodge the attack, each bird that they avoid would burst into a miniature explosion of fire looking to hit them still. But if they get hit; the beak of the bird would burn it's way into they're flesh and explode. The "Phoenixes" will shoot at them two birds at a time. Heat tolerance varies by Reiatsu, those with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns.

Arena of Fire:
A Sphere of Extreme hot fire will enclose around the people inside of it so that no one can leave or Enter. The Dome's fire burns the same intensity as her Zanpaktou. Anything that is thrown at it would simply turn to nothing including Kido arts, Ceros and Bala's. (BUT! If a person that is Equal to her Reiatsu and Weapon skill in her Bankai state or is higher with they're Reiatsu and Attack, then they could slice through the wall of flames so that they could squeeze in. Be warned, if anything of your's touches the flames, you are going to get burnt by the Fire. Heat tolerance varies by Reiatsu, those with Reiatsu and weapon skill 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30 less Reiatsu and attack will receive third degree burns. Anyone 50 and less then her current Bankai state stats are going to be Near-Lethal and or even Limb loss to the Moderator's digression. ) This move will end if she has it die out into embers (At the fifth post of her's the fire would begin to cool down and begin to shrink down all the way until it's embers at the seventh post.) or if she is knocked out unconscious. 50 meter sphere around her and those inside of it. As the battle progresses, the sphere would burn it's way underground and in doing so, make the ground they are fighting on unstable near the area's that Sphere has Consumed by it's fire with nothing but Embers left.
Circle of Eruption:
Stabbing the Fire of her Zanpaktou into the ground, red cracks would begin to form a circle around her (Ten foot diameter) and spread outwards to the max of the Dome or as far as she would need to. Upon yanking the blade out, a massive blast of fire would shoot outward to consume anything or anyone that wasn't standing directly beside her. This fire would be a little cooler compared to both her Shikai and Bankai raging only at 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat tolerance varies by Reiatsu, those with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30-49 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns. Wall of Fire:
To buy other's time to escape from the area in which she and thy are in, she would summon a 1,000 meter tall by 800 meter wide thick wall of fire. (BUT! If a person that is Equal to her Reiatsu and weapon skill in her Bankai state or is higher with they're Reiatsu and Attack, then they could slice through the wall of flames so that they could squeeze in. Be warned, if anything of your's touches the flames, you are going to get burnt by the Fire. The Heat of the Sword:
Shikai: With those that have a reiatsu and weapon skill lower then her Reiatsu and Attack by 80 and lower, Her blade would pierce through it if she stabbed the side of the blade. If she would to slowly push her blade into a Zanpaktou, her Opponent would notice that they're sword would begin to glow from heat and would need to get they're sword away from her. Those that are 1-30 points lower then her's would start to feel and see they're Zanpaktou getting hot from her sword. Those 10 points and higher will be unaffected towards they're Zanpaktou's/ Weapons. But if her blade is to touch or the fire manages to touch the skin of her Opponent, those with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30-49 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns. Anyone 50 and less then her current Shikai state stats are going to be Near-Lethal and or even Limb loss to the Moderator's digression. If a Limb is cut off, it would turn to a pile of ash leaving the other part of the wound cauterized.
Bankai: With those that have a reiatsu and weapon skill lower then her Reiatsu and Attack by 80 and lower, Her Zanpaktou upon clashing with the opponents sword would instantly begin to glow and a crack would begin to form. With each strike of her sword, the crack would get bigger. Those that are equal or 1-30 points below her's, her "Blade" would have to be in a dead lock with they're weapon for it to start glowing from the fire. 10 points and higher, the opponents Zanpaktou's/ weapons are fine and they are unaffected by the fire. But if the blade is to touch the flesh of an opponent with Reiatsu 10-20 less than her receive minor burn damage that stacks from each hit, while those beyond 30-49 less Reiatsu will receive third degree burns. Anyone 50 and less then her current Bankai state stats are going to be Near-Lethal and or even Limb loss to the Moderator's digression. If a Limb is cut off, it would turn to a pile of ash leaving the other part of the wound cauterized.
Highly Resistant to Fire: Requires opponents to have 50 or more Reiatsu to harm her with fire.

Spirit Tattoos, x2: +20 to all stats. One is a Phoenix on her back that starts at the neck with the wings going across her shoulders and the body stops at the half way portion of her back. The Second Tattoo is of her Family crest on her wrist.
